it all started with the idea of winning a tv contest by identifying fragrances while blindfolded. the wager was lost, but a talent was discovered – mark buxton received and accepted an offer from the haarmann & reimer perfume company to be trained as a perfumer. a few years later, he had already reached paris, world capital of perfume. he has lived and worked there to this day.
his style is notable for the ultimate in precision coupled with maximum dedication. his fragrances are mystical, provocative and unmistakably urbane. a perfumer will never be a star, he asserts, yet proves the contrary with his creations.
